Job Title: Failure Analysis and Test Support Engineer

Reports to: Director, Quality
Location: Campbell, California

Position Summary
ChargePoint's Operations team is seeking an experienced engineer to
analyze factory and field failures and to support the test engineering
team in the ongoing operation and maintenance of PCBA and system level
test equipment. This person will be highly self-directed, experienced in
both electrical and mechanical systems, and able to provide technical
guidance to assembly and test technicians. This position will report into
the Quality group at ChargePoint.
Responsibilities

* Debug lab and factory test failures at the PCBA and system level
* Perform root cause analysis of field failures
* Document the results of root cause analysis on factory and field
failures
* Work with test engineers to wire, assemble and debug test fixtures and
racks
* Setup and run experiments related to determining ongoing product
reliability and failure causes
* Provide quality and test support for internal mfg. and product
refurbishment
* Write debug and rework guides for manufacturing, repair, and for field
support operations

Requirements

* Bachelors in engineering or related technical field or extensive
industry experience
* Ability to read circuit schematics and to debug PCBA and
electro-mechanical systems
* Ability to read mechanical part and assembly drawings and to measure
mechanical parts using precision inspection tools
* Experience working in mfg. and/or repair environments
* Familiarity with electrical test equipment and processes
* Experience with Bills of Materials and change management processes
(ECOs) and product data management systems
* Good verbal and written communication skills
* Basic programming/scripting and configuring SW diagnostics tools and
drivers
* Experience interacting with embedded systems
* Proficient in MS office applications
