Description
Proteus Biomedical is pioneering intelligent medicine, an emerging
field of advanced therapeutics that integrates in-body computer,
sensor and communications technologies into existing pharmaceutical,
medical device and consumer products. Proteus' proprietary computing
and sensing technologies enable proven therapies to be personalized,
offering broad potential benefits across a range of care settings and
therapeutic areas. Proteus is developing and commercializing
intelligent medicine products in partnership with global leaders from
multiple industries, including Novartis, Medtronic, ON Semiconductor,
Kaiser Permanente and Avery Dennison.
We are seeking an Intern who will be an integral part of a cross
functional team. Our top candidate will have an opportunity to
anticipate, find, and resolve issues prior to final product release.
Specifically, this position will involve helping to automate the test
platform, design and analyze statistically significant tests, and
debug test setup/design issues. The Intern will also help correlate
and replicate failures during use by customers to internal test results.
*This is a paid internship.
*Weekly work hours and schedule can be flexible.
Primary Responsibilities:
* Collaborate with electrical, mechanical, and software engineers
to design and implement a new test bench for medical devices prior to
final product release
* Automate the test setup and analysis such that it can be run in
a manufacturing environment
* Design and analyze statistical tests to ensure products will
perform as designed when manufactured at scale
* Investigate failures, root cause any problems, and suggest mitigations
* Data mine performance data to correlate failures in general use
by customers against internal test results
Required Qualifications:
* Hands-on experience automating equipment
* Experience writing well-documented and maintainable code
* Proficiency in Labview and Matlab
* Experience in designing and automating data analysis
* Ability to understand and debug electrical and mechanical systems
Educational Requirements:
MS/Ph.D. student or recent graduate in computer science, electrical
engineering, applied physics or related majors.
