Role: R&D Intern (Software and Computer Vision)

Responsibilities:
- Support the development team with tools and features to enable dynamic R&D efforts
- Use Python for data wrangling and medical image processing and multi-class, multi-label segmentation
- Create simple interfaces (Qt) and 3D visualizations (VTK) to shape the future of procedure workflow and enable large-scale experimentation
- Implement large-scale data collection pipeline that will be fed into deep-learning applications
- Participate in the testing and debugging of software applications.
- Collaborate with team members to develop project plans and timelines.
Minimum qualifications:
- Working towards a Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science or related field
- Experience programming in Python
- Fundamentals in computer vision, robotics, and linear algebra
- Strong communication and problem solving skills
- Ability to work with minimal supervision within an environment rich with unsolved science and technology challenges, hazy requirements, and a dynamic team committed to changing the fundamentals of surgery
Preferred qualifications:
- Familiarity with Qt, VTK, Matlab, C++, PyTorch, OpenCV, MLOps,
- Experience with algorithms and extensible design
