Internship Opportunity for Visual UX Designer

The company:

Tripcipe is an early stage travel startup
co-founded by two Stanford graduates and a Sr.
Director of UX at WalmartLabs. Â We are
developing a travel web and mobile app to make
trip planning easier (and more fun!), one
traveler at a time. Â We just launched our
private beta and was a part of Lightspeed Venture
Partner's 2014 Summer Fellowship Program

The position:

We are looking for a motivated part-time or
full-time UX Interface Designer with strong
visual design skills to work directly with our 3
founders in designing innovative responsive
product experiences. We are currently working out
of Lightspeed's office space in Palo Alto,
getting mentorship and guidance from the
industry's best on entrepreneurship, and
developing our product in private beta. You will
get a front row seat to the makings of a startup
and you will be responsible for executing visual
interface and interaction design for our
application across web and mobile devices under
the guidance of our user experience lead.

Main Responsibility:

• Create visual design, visual assets and click-through prototyppes

Other Responsibilities can include the following
(based on skills and interest):

• Develop and evaluate innovative visual design
solutions for user interface problems

• Define icon style and design

• Create design artifacts in various levels of
fidelity from wireframes to prototypes

• Collaborate witth founders on interaction
design, product management, code development, and business management

• Partner witth developer to oversee design implementation

• Facilitate and participate in usability testing

Skills/Requirements:

• Currently enrolled in or completed a degree in
CComputer Science, Human Computer Interaction,
Graphic Design, Arts or a related discipline

• Must be proficiennt in various visual design
tools - Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, and
other prototyping/web 2.0 technologies

• Must be able to create dynamic visual
designs/assets which will be used for the
product, usability tests and product demos

• Strong understanding of principles in
interaction deesign, visual design, and
information architecture; knowledge of web UI patterns

• Strong understanding of webb & mobile
production techniques at all levels of resolution

• Portfolio of work and resume required; pleaase provide link

Nice to have:

• Experience working with fasst growing start-ups

Compensation:

This is an unpaid internship from October -
December 2014, with an opportunity to become a
full-time hire after initial contract period. Â
We are happy to work with your school’s program for internship credits.
