Design sensor solutions that shape next-generation Sensor
Technologies in Apple products.
The Sensor Technology team develops cutting-edge Sensor solutions and
technologies that are central to Apple's products, including the
iPhone, iPad, MacBooks, and more. The key goal of the Sensor
Technology team is to enable the world's best user-experience. New
challenges arise everyday that require the sharp problem-solving
skills of talented and smart individuals.
The team features a collaborative and hands-on environment that
fosters engineering excellence, creativity, and innovation.
Key Responsibilities:
New Sensor design and integration.
Schematic design of boards and flexible assemblies.
Sensor ASIC system-level bring-up and integration.
Sensor subsystem modeling and prototyping.
Failure mode analysis, root cause diagnosis, and system-level problem
solving. Design analysis, characterization, and validation.
Sensor technology scoping and proof-of-concept investigations.
Feature and spec input during future ASIC definition.
Design electrical and mechanical instruments for automation and
problem solving Business travel to support product development.
Cross-functional Responsibilities:
Engage and collaborate with cross-functional teams, including
Mechanical Engineering, Firmware Engineering, and Electrical
Engineering to create state-of-the-art sensor solutions.
Contribute technical assessments to strategic decision-making
relating to technology and investments.
Qualifications and Requirements:
B.S. in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, MS preferred, or
industry experience equivalent.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills and solid teamwork
and leadership skills.
Excellent critical analysis, statistical analysis, and logic/problem
solving skills.
Strong background in analog and mixed-signal design, especially
board-level circuits. Hands-on experience in system-level design.
Proficiency in scripting languages, e.g., MATLAB/Python, or similar
simulation and modeling tools.
Experience with sensor technology - signal conditioning, MCU
interfacing; digital signal processing is a plus
Cross-Functional experience in mechanical engineering, materials,
algorithm, or physics preferred
