The Stanford Center for Design Research (CDR) is
seeking undergraduate students to participate in
mentored research, through the ME Summer Research
Institute (SURI) program. If you are interested
in participating in this program, or would like
to learn more about research opportunities at
CDR, please contact the individuals listed below.

SURI Program – 2013, Stanford's Center for Design Research
    * For : Undergraduates and Co-Terminal Students in Mechanical Engineering
    * Duration of Appointment : 10 weeks in
Summer 2013 Quarter (June 17th - August 23rd)
    * Funding : Summer Stipend
    * Faculty Advisor : Professor Larry J. Leifer
    * Research Areas : Design thinking research
focused on instrumenting, understanding,
supporting, and improving design practice through
the development of design theory. Specific issues
include: design research methodology, global team
dynamics, innovation leadership, interactive
interaction spaces, design-for-wellbeing, and adaptive mechatronic systems.
    * Requirements : Stanford Mechanical
Engineering Undergraduates and Co-terminal
students (BS degree not yet conferred)
