POSITION
Senior Mechanical Engineer

QUALIFICATIONS:
BS or higher degree in Mechanical Engineering
5-10+ years experience in industry

REQUIREMENTS:
Proven technical leadership abilities
Expert level proficiency in 2D & 3D CAD software; SolidWorks strongly preferred
Experience with all stages of product development, from concept
generation to manufacturing release
Experience with a variety of manufacturing processes and materials
Extensive experience designing complex electro-mechanical systems and
components
Experience with defining and meeting product regulatory,
environmental, reliability, and safety requirements
Familiarity with specification creation, FMEA, DFM, DFA, and test plan writing.
Strong analytic problem solving skills
Strong organization and documentation skills

BONUS POINTS FOR EXPERIENCE WITH:
Automotive components design and development
Working with a contract manufacturer
Hands on use of machine tools

RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:
Mechanical lead in commercializing Mission's next generation products
Lead responsibility for design and development of mechanical
components and assemblies
Select, qualify and manage vendors
Collaborative work with power electronics, control electronics,
software design, and systems engineers
Component and assembly design and engineering, and detailed drawing creation
Mechanical and system test plan writing and oversight of test execution
Integration of powertrain systems into customer or Mission vehicles
