We are Medical Instrument Development Laboratories, Inc.

and manufacture of specialized ophthalmic surgical devices. We are
an established revenue-generating company.
POSITION SUMMARY:
You are an intrinsically-motivated, hands-on, self-starter, who will
work closely with the MID Labs COO, Principal Product Engineer,
Engineering, R&D, Quality, and Production teams, to execute a variety
of design, development, test, research, troubleshooting, document
writing, supplier evaluation, and problem-solving tasks.
As a flexible and adaptable team member, you will assume a variety of
responsibilities and tasks that will vary from week-to-week.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
Training or ability in SolidWorks
EDUCATION:
BS in mechanical or industrial engineering
ADDITIONAL SKILL AND EXPERIENCE DESIRED:
Inherently detail-oriented, hands-on, fast learner.
Internship in a medical device company.
Participation in engineering clubs that involve teamwork and
electromechanical design and assembly.
Personal projects that involve design and precise assembly.
Ability to write user-friendly and highly illustrated
manufacturing/inspection procedures and test reports.
Demonstrated ability to solve problems via scientific methodology and analysis.
Training and experience in use of standard hand tools, power tools,
and machine tools.
Knowledge and ability to use FEA, Excel, Word, & Powerpoint
Experience working with suppliers and vendors.
