looking for a mid-level electrical engineer.
Kitchen Electrics Engineer
OXO, a NYC based housewares company, is looking for an electrical
engineer to join our team. The individual will lead the electrical
design of new products from concept through production, assist in the
resolution of technical issues of existing electrical products from
digital food scales to induction-charged battery powered lights, and
communicate with Asian factories during design, sourcing, and production.
The candidate should have excellent problem solving skills and be
able to communicate ideas clearly. The ability to work well as part
of a larger team is essential. A minimum of 4 years' experience in a
relevant field and a US working visa are required. Resumes should be

Responsibilities
* Lead the electrical design of new products from concept through
production.
* Play strategic role in the creation of marketing and technical
specifications for new products.
* Provide component cost/benefit analysis to product managers.
* Responsible for hands-on design, prototyping, debugging,
verification and validation testing as well as transition to
manufacturing and extensive pilot production support.
* Develop test plans to be used by quality department and
manufacturing partners.
* Perform failure analysis on returned products and suggest
manufacturing and/or design changes to improve quality.
Desired Skills & Experience
* Minimum BS degree in engineering (electrical engineering preferred)
* 4+ years' experience.
* General electronic engineering expertise specializing in
analog/digital hardware design and focused on OEM and consumer products.
* Board-level schematic design, component selection and PCB
layout for analog and digital circuits.
* Creativity in design for low cost, high-volume consumer
products while maintaining product lifetime and reliability.
* Skilled with a variety of electronic test equipment
(oscilloscopes, in-circuit emulators and debuggers).
* Ability to effectively manage several concurrent projects.
* Experience with regulatory/certification requirements for
shipping consumer electronic products in US and Europe including UL,
FCC, and CE.
