ICON is gearing up to ship its first production
aircraft early next year and we’re looking for
additional design manpower to complete the final
design. This is perfect work for product
designers as it’s at the intersection of
usability, engineering, technology and industrial design.
This could be a contractor position or possibly a
fulltime hire. We’d also consider hiring a small
firm. You don’t need to live in LA but you would
need to spend the bulk of your time (at least 3
days a week) side-by-side with our team down here.
Here’s the kind of work being tackled:
* Seating design -- ergonomics, materials and cushion design
* Cockpit materials selection management
* Overhead console and center console – detail design and components
* Cockpit lighting – ambient/task, instrument lighting, component sourcing
* Many others…
This project is super cool and we’ve having a
huge impact on the industry. You’ll be with a
great team and your work will hit the market next year.
