Primary Job Responsibilities:
* Design and build sensing and actuation systems for
characterizing engine performance
* Help buy and build-out data acquisition system for capturing
data and implementing real-time control on engine hardware.
* Help expand in-house system for real-time data visualization
(currently requires some C programming and an understanding of UDP).
* Design and implement a user control interface to engage and
disengage actuation sub-systems (e.g. flow control valves).
* Design digital and analog circuits and build PCBs for engine
actuators (e.g., fuel injector drivers)
* Instrument hardware and run tests using sensing and data
acquisition systems.
* Implement post-processing algorithms in Matlab.
Preferable Skills and Qualifications:
* Experience with Simulink, xPC, and real-time workshop
* Experience with systems with high pressures and temperatures
* Experience with motors, generators, or electromagnetic systems
Education and Experience:
Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
Compensation:
