Minna (www.minnalife.com) is a San Francisco-based startup that
designs, manufactures and markets innovative vibrators and other
pleasure products. We launched our initial product, the Ola, in
August and are seeking a product/industrial designer to work on new
product development on an on-going contract basis. A detailed product
specification will be provided. The designer will be responsible for
exploration and refinement of form and user experience as well as
interfacing with the engineering team regarding the functionality and
manufacturability of the product.

Skills:

         Ability to understand existing design landscape (both Minna
and competitors) and build on existing foundation in an innovative way

         Ability to interact with variety of users and synthesize
feedback into a cohesive design and user experience

         Ability to integrate functional, ergonomic and aesthetic
considerations into one design

         Ability to express a strong design vision within the context
of an existing brand and design language

         Ability / experience with form studies and exploration as
well as model building

         Good communication skills and positive attitude - it's
important that there is a good fit with the rest of our team to
interface and work together throughout the process.

Experience with any of the following not required but a plus:
pleasure products, hand held electronics design, hard goods, medical
devices, women's products (including cosmetics, clothing,
accessories, or other), luxury goods, consumer packaged goods.

Ability to meet in person (Bay Area) is highly desirable although not
strictly necessary. There will be multiple meetings / design reviews
over the course of the project.
