iRhythm Technologies, Inc. is a San Francisco-based medical device
startup company that is combining novel diagnostic devices with
advanced data analysis concepts to create a new approach to cardiac
rhythm monitoring.
We have an opening in our Product Development group for a bright,
energetic, junior engineer with broad interest in medical device
development. The system engineer position offers excellent exposure
to many disciplines of engineering as well as close interaction with
quality, regulatory, manufacturing, sales and customer
service. Responsibilities include:
* Plan and manage product definition including user needs, system
level requirements and user interface by collecting and organizing
input from both internal constituents and external customers.
* Define and execute system level testing and design verification,
including coordination of internal testing and managing external test houses.
* Coordinate validation activities; monitor and analyze device
performance during validation and develop performance metrics for
ongoing visibility.
* Act as central resource for system level device investigations and
failure analysis, coordinating with quality, firmware, electrical and
mechanical engineers to identify problems and resolution.
This position requires an agile, multi-tasking engineer with 0-2
years of experience and strong analytical, problem solving,
documentation and communication skills. The preferred candidate would have:
* BS/MS in Biomedical Engineering or other engineering discipline.
* Excellent interpersonal skills; demonstrated ability to communicate
and collaborate effectively in cross-functional teams.
* Experience in multi-disciplinary environments including embedded
software and electronics.
* Ability to work well independently; self-motivated and disciplined
to meet deadlines in the context of competing priorities and projects.
* Proven documentation and technical writing skills, including the
ability to manage specifications, develop and maintain design
documentation, and author technical reports.
* Aptitude for correctly spelling iRhythm in all documentation files
(read: good attention to detail).
