Responsibilities:

As an Electrical Design Engineer, you will work as a part of a team
of engineers that is developing several novel technologies to build a
"Direct-Write" Electron Beam Lithography machine. The system being
developed comprises of various novel technologies such as Maglev
stages and proprietary metrology that is capable of writing patterns
to a wafer moving at `meters per second' with a `nano-meter' level
accuracy. We are looking for a recent graduate who enjoys working on
fundamental technologies that push the state-of-the-art and can
contribute with creative solutions to challenging technical
problems. The individual is expected to have a strong interest and
genuine curiosity to solve challenging engineering problems while
working with high performance Hardware to implement advanced Control
systems and Signal Processing algorithms.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate would have a MS/Ph.D. in EE., or a related
discipline with a wide breadth of course work in several Electrical
Engineering topics. We are looking for a well rounded individual
with skills in one of more of the following (not necessarily all of these) :

- Ability to design analog and digital electronic hardware system
designs from high-level, abstract requirements
- Experience of implementing high-performance digital signal
processing hardware using FPGA's and DSP's
- Experience of high-performance signal acquisition systems (custom
and COTS boards) operating at ~100 MHz with good SNR
- Experience of real-time HDL coding for FPGAs (VHDL, Verilog)
including verification test-benches
- Experience of real-time DSP firmware coding for discrete DSP devices
- Experience of custom PCB design, schematic capture, board layout,
vendor interface
- Experience of interfacing to industry standard interfaces: PCIe,
PCIx, VME etc
- Hands-on experience of board build, debug and bring-up in a lab environment
- Experience designing low noise power electronics and amplifiers
- Experience with Matlab/Simulink/Real Time Workshop

Bachelor's Level Degree with at least 3 years of experience.

Master's Level Degree with at least 2 years of experience.

Doctorate (Academic)
