Engineering Intern: Consumer product designer
Project Description:
A) Design and fabricate a consumer product prototype utilizing
Tessera's advanced Silent Air Cooling technology.
1) Create concept sketches and present to review audience
2) Create mechanical concept prototypes
3) Create functioning electrical/mechanical prototypes
a. Create CAD drawings and work with fabrication houses to get parts made
b. Specify and order constituent components
c. Assemble and test prototypes
d. Refine prototype design as necessary
Desired Qualifications:
* Strong industrial design skills
* Familiarity with prototype and high-volume production processes
including sheet metal bending, plastic injection molding
* Knowledge of CAD software such as AutoCAD or Solidworks (preferred)
* Capable of basic electrical wiring.
* Team player and good communicator
* Strong verbal, written and presentation skills
* Proficient in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint

has been good so far. One thing I'd like to add to it if its
possible. We are looking to have submittals include a design/product
portfolio along with their resume. It's difficult to filter through
the Bio's without work samples from the candidates and it will give
them a chance to show their stuff.
Please let me know if that's feasible to add into the posting.
