iRhythm Technologies, Inc. is a San Francisco-based medical device
startup with a summer internship opportunity for a skilled ME in our
Product Development group.

We are looking for a talented and self-motivated Mechanical Engineer to
participate in an exciting development effort which will contribute to
our suite of cardiac monitoring devices. The right candidate should be
able to take on a variety of engineering activities spanning research,
experimentation, test and design. Although a majority of time will be
spent on ideation and design efforts, you should also be willing to get
your hands dirty in the lab performing experiments and building
prototypes.

Responsibilities:
  - Design and develop a novel electromechanical switching interface for
our next generation platform
  - Provide creative input for brainstorming and concept development
efforts
  - Conduct experiments to investigate and characterize material
properties and correlate to product performance
  - Design and build prototypes for testing and evaluation

Requirements:
  - Master's Degree candidates preferred; will also consider advanced
undergraduates with appropriate experience
  - Proficient with SolidWorks
  - Familiarity with a wide variety of rapid prototyping techniques
  - Experience with sensors and mechanical interfacing would be
beneficial
  - Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively in a
cross-functional environment
