Hardware/Firmware Engineering Intern

Agilent Automation Solutions is a global leader
in providing laboratory automation solutions for
drug discovery and a range of other scientific

We are looking for an electrical/firmware
engineering intern to design robots for life science applications.

The duration of the contract will be of 3 months,
the intern should be available full-time during
the entire duration of the internship (40hrs/week).

Location: Santa Clara, CA

Required Qualifications:
• Completion of coursework in embedded systems design and firmware
• Knowledge of at least one EE CAD program
• Experience in Analog and Digital Design
• Knowledge of C/embedded C programming
• Experience with Assembly/Firmware programming
• Demonstrated history of creativity in solutions to complex problems
• Ability to be productive and work
collaboratively with team members from multiple disciplines
• Ability to take initiative and be self-motivated
• Excellent communication skills, written as well as oral
• Dedication to getting the job done

Desired:
• Experience in designing motor driving circuits and firmware
• Hands-on robotics or automation experience
• Experience with PIC microcontrollers
• Knowledge of RS232 and/or RS485


Education/Experience:
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering,
Computer Science or Mechanical Engineering or
related field. Advanced degrees are strongly preferred
